Review: Clean & Clear Finishes Pore Perfecting Cleanser

Long title, right? LOL.

Anywho!
A few months ago, I was lucky enough to be selected as a beauty tester for Seventeen magazine, and they send me a big box full of makeup and different beauty items, including many that were not even in stores yet! So shout-out to Seventeen for that!
Moving on to the review, one of the items I recieved to try out was Clean & Clear Finishes Pore Perfecting Cleanser.

From the Clean & Clear website:
"Keep pores clear of dirt and oil with Finishes Pore Perfecting Cleanser. This does more than just clean - it helps leave skin with a smooth finish that looks naturally beautiful"

I really like this cleanser. It does pretty much everything that the discription says it does, and that is something I really like- when products live up to the hype. My skin type is very dry and sensitive, mostly because I have exzema on my face. With my skin condition, most cleansers irritate the exzema and make it red, itchy, and very tight. However, after I used the Finishes cleanser for a few weeks, it never once irritated my skin or made it red. This, my friends, is a huge miracle for me. I find it gentle enough that I can use it every day if needed, and overall I really like what this does for my skin.

Now, let's talk about the actual cleanser, which I find very interesting. It has a nice texture, not too thick or thin, and has a typical cleanser scent, but I'm not complaining! Looking at the bottle, it looks like the actual product is light purple, but once the cleanser is on your hand, it's actually a clear/white color with a purple/gold tint. That sounds very strange, I know, but this product seems to change in different lighting. In the dim light of my bathroom, it appears to be white with a gold sheen to it, and in the bright, natural light from the window in my bedroom, it's more white with a bit of purple. Definitely the prettiest cleanser I've ever owned! Haha! Another very interesting thing: it has shimmer in it. Yes, you heard me. Shimmer! It looks very pearly in the bottle, and remains pearly but with, yes, shimmer in it once it's on my hand or face. I find that a bit of the shimmer stays on my face when I wash it off, but not a lot. Which is okay, I mean, it's a cleanser, not a shimmer-powder. And it does exactly what I need it to.

Another added bonus is that Clean & Clear Finishes is OIL-FREE! Yay!

All in all, I would reccomend this product, especially if you have highly sensitive skin, like myself.

Peace!

Kieran

  1. I love this too!!! Have you tried the other two products that are in the finishes line? I think there is a moisturizer. I haven't tried them yet, only the cleanser. But I like it a lot as well.

  2. Thank you! I have only tried the Cleanser as well (on the advice of this post by Kieran), and I loved it! I am allergic to absolutely everything, but this did not irritate my skin one little bit! There is another one I tried, it is from the "Boots" line at target it is called "Boots Expert Anti-Blemish", it is pretty great too! You should check it out ;) - Shelly
