Free Stuff :)

My question to you is this; do you enjoy free things?  The answer of course, is yes. So in light of the fact that everyone likes free stuff I have compiled a list of the best places on the 'net to get said free things.

#1 Taaz.com
Taaz. com is a free virtual makeover, all you have to do is sign up (for free) and upload a photo of yourself. It's that easy, there are no offers to fill out and no "participation required" nonsense, just a fabulous new you.

#2 Silverjewelryclub.com
Silverjewelryclub.com is free sterling jewelry. Every day they get different jewelry to give away for free, all you have to do is pay for shipping (about $7 per order). It is like a party company, except it is new and trying to build up business, so they are giving out their jewelry, and in case you didn't catch it the first time FOR FREE! This is not a scam at all. In fact thats what I thought when a friend told me about it, but I have come to find, after using it myself that it is 100% reliable.

#3 Free-makeup-samples.com
This is exactly what it sounds like, free makeup samples. Some of the links on the page are participation require, but not all of them. This site is just a gateway to other sites that are giving out the free items.

#4 Herbeautysamples.com
This one works the same way as #3.

#5 Swapstyle.com
This one is not do nothing get something. On this website you post things that you do not wear anymore, and then you browse thru the stuff other people have put up, and then you swap items. I use it all the time, I have only been on the site for a month and I have already received a set of earrings, a pair of pants, a Betsey Johnson purse, and a couple of other things.

#6 Ocw.mit.edu
Free college! Earn your degree for free! MIT posts most of the classes, but Harvard also has some on there, and guess what, you don't have to turn in an application or anything. Just sign up and find a class, download the lessons, and off you go. I am also pretty sure that all of the credits you earn on the website are transferable.

#7 Questia.com
Free E-books. Mostly classics, but if you search you will find some newer books. They have abridged and unabridged versions.

I hope you enjoyed the list and check some of these out!

XOXO,
Shelly

Dollar Tree super finds!

Hey everyone, it's Kieran!

While I was on a recent trip to my local Dollar Tree store, I was browsing the makeup aisle just because. I wasn't planning on buying anything, since I don't usually trust the shady Dollar Tree off-brands of makeup, especially eye makeup. I just never buy it. However, while I was looking at all of the little plastic packages of makeup and considering buying an eyebrow brush, I noticed a little package with a small pink container inside of it. I picked it up and discovered that it was Maybelline Dream Mousse blush! This is a product that I have seen in several stores, I don't remember the exact retail price, but I do remember seeing it somewhere for around 8.99. (It could cost more or less, depending on the store.)

Now, although I was SUPER excited, I realized I should probably make sure nothing was wrong with the product. I looked it over as much as I could without opening the package, and decided that it was in perfect condition. So I tossed it into my basket of course! Upon close inspection, I saw that there were quite alot of the blushes on the rack. I almost got another one when I saw the rest of the Maybelline products! There were Dream Mousse eyeshadows, some lipliners, eyeliners, lipsticks, lipglosses and a few other things. There were also some Covergirl products! My guess is that the Dollar Tree had so many name-brand products due to accidental over-orders of the products. I could be wrong, just guessing here. ;-D But I picked up a few things;

- Covergirl Eyeslicks gel eyeshadow pencils in Shimmering Pebble and Neon Pink(These came in packs of two, so thats 50 cents a piece- can you say WOW?)

-Maybelline Great Wear Budge-Proof eyeliner in Dark Chocolate(I believe this retails for around 3.99, and I've been needing a new waterproof eyeliner, so yay!)

-Maybelline Wet Shine Fusion lip color in Pink Sunset(Love this color so far!)

-Maybelline Dream Mousse blush in Pink Frosting(Very bright! But also pretty!)

My digital camera is dead at the moment, so I took a quick webcam picture of some swatches. I didn't swatch the Neon Pink Eyeslicks because I forgot, but I'm just so excited to show you these swatches! Here they are!

All of the swatches are pretty true to color, but the Pink Frosting is just a little bit brighter, and Pink Sunset is not as brown. The Neon Pink Eyeslicks is pretty close to the color of the blush except, well, more neon! LOL!

I read around the Beauty Blogosphere a little bit, and many other beauty bloggers have found these products in their Dollar Tree's as well!
All of this cost me only FOUR dollars! So if you have a Dollar Tree close by, I would sugest going there and checking things out!

Peace!

E.L.F Hits The Stores!

Hi! Kieran again. =P

Currently I'm munching on some toaster waffles, my hair is a complete mess, I'm in my purple pajama pants and it's 7:00 AM on Friday. Sounds normal, right?
Well, not technically. I, sadly, am never a happy girl before 9:00 AM. However, earlier while I was browsing through Twitter updates and wiping syrup off of my chin, I noticed a Tweet that made me particularly happy.

Click here to read the Tweet!
That's right, E.L.F cosmetics will soon be available for purchase in Target stores! Can you say YAY? I know I can! If you're not familiar with E.L.F, they are an online-based makeup company with MANY products that start at only $1. In fact, they have an entire collection, plus tools, nail polishes, makeup removers and more that are only $1. They also have a studio and mineral line. Those prices start at $3 and $5, respectively. I LOVE this makeup and I'm stoked that it will be in Target soon so I don't have to wait for it to arrive after I order it online! Eeek! Can't wait!
I'd love to do a review of E.l.F sometime for you, but right now I need some coffee or something.

Peace!

-Kieran
